Butchery Basics evening

A “hands on” evening aimed at keen cooks or enthusiasts to learn some basic butchery skills including cutting preparing and cooking.

What is included:

Course Cost £85 per person
Maximum 6 people per evening

Introduction to butchery and behind the scenes tour of the shop
Brief explanation on meat provenance/husbandry/welfare and grading
A demonstration on how to split a pig & Lamb into primal joints
A chance to make your own sausages and take them home
Basic butchery skills such as how to sharpen a knife and how to tie a butcher’s knot
How to prepare some kitchen ready products with cooking tips
Refreshments throughout the evening and tasting and Wine to finish
Take home a selection of what you have prepared (approximate value £35)
